Robocop - a name that brings pain and fear to Detroit criminals and snooty film reviewers everywhere. Originally released in 1987, the original Robocop movie followed the story of police officer Alex Murphy, who was torturtured and killed by a group of thugs. This is where OCP (Omni Consumer Products, also an anagram for COP) steps in, giving Murphy a robotic shell and body parts, and subsequently turning him into 'Robocop'. None of this matters though, as Robocop is as brainless as brainless side-scrolling shooters get. For a game based on a movie as violent as Robocop though, that's not necessarily a bad thing....
